Survived by Anne, his loving wife of 40 years; daughter Christy (Chris to him); nephews, John and Gord and brother-in-law, Jack.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Christine and sister Dorothy.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Norm was a naturally talented athlete and avid fisherman. He made many great friends there through work, canoeing at the East Kildonan Canoe Club and by virtue of his gregarious and friendly nature. He moved West in the early 70’s bringing his family. They settled in Port Alberni where he remained, making many more friends through the years while working and devoting himself to his family, whom he loved more than life itself.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00pm – 4:00pm on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from the Cherry Creek Golf Club, 6449 Cherry Creek Rd. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca.
