It is with profound sadness that the family of Kayla Diane Meyer announce her sudden and unexpected passing at the age of 22 years.
Kayla is survived by her father Micheal (Stacie), her loving sister Kaydence, Step siblings Makenzie, Riley and Kailie. Her Grandfather Gordon, Uncle Pat, Auntie Karen (Anthony), Auntie Kerri-Ann (Dan), Her Mother Melissa (Alan), Step siblings Jordon and Cole, Grandfather Raymond (Isabelle), Grandmother Jacynthe (Donald), Uncle Mike (Lacey), and her boyfriend Curtis.
Kayla is predeceased by her Grandmother Diane Meyer.
Kayla was born in Fort Nelson British Columbia on June 2, 1999 and spent the majority of her childhood and school years in Tumbler Ridge, graduating in 2017.
In the the summer of 2020 Kayla decided to move to Vancouver Island for her love of the beaches and ocean and resided in Port Alberni.
Kayla was a beautiful, artistic, compassionate soul and touched the lives of anyone whom came into contact with her. She had a huge heart and would do anything, to help anyone in need. She had really grown into a lovely, independent, beautiful young lady; with what seemed like her whole life ahead of her.
She was an avid animal lover and was a wonderful Mom to her cats Zina and Zazu. Kayla had the most contagious and infectious belly laughs, the most beautiful blue eyes and was never afraid to tell it how it was. Life will never quite be the same without Kayla’s spark in it.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date, along the beaches of Tofino.
In leu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Canada or to the British Columbia Children’s Hospital in Kayla Meyer’s name.
