Jone Margaret Blake

With broken hearts, we share the news of her passing. Quietly and peacefully, with her daughter at her side she left our world for much better things.

Jone was born in Kapuskasing Ontario, the youngest daughter of 8 children. She was a jump rope champion in elementary school, loved skating and fries with gravy.

In her youth she worked as a Lab Technician in Elliot Lake Ontario, until meeting her husband, having Kim and moving to BC in 1962. She would have her second daughter Laurie in 1964. Raising her girls and volunteering for the Legion filled her with love and pride. She adores her brothers and sisters and kept close contact with nieces and nephews. Her bright smile and gentle touches, she always gave freely.

She will be lovingly missed by her daughter Kimberly Blake, brother Don Hickey (Claudette), brother George Hickey (Elsie), grandsons Dallas (Cara) and Neil (Lora), great grandchildren Maddux, Layla, Jayce and Blayklee, many nieces, nephews and so many friends and acquaintances.

She is predeceased by many who loved her, too many to mention and most likely has had the biggest welcome party ever.

A tea service will be announced at a later date.
