2024, at the age of 80. Shirley was born to Elvin and Dorothy LeFebvre on May 25,
1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was raised and spent most of her adult life in
New Orleans and Chalmette (until Katrina) where she was active in the Catholic
Church, Lions Club and was employed by the Sewerage & Water Board of New
Orleans until retirement. After Katrina, she enjoyed her home in Poplarville
where she treasured the company of her schnauzer, Sammy, who was her
constant companion. Before Sammy, she enjoyed her pet, Jack. In her earlier
years, she also enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking along with her pet Sasha.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin Stanley LeFebvre and Dorothy
Marcelle Spera LeFebvre; her only sibling, her brother, Elvin Stanley LeFebvre, Jr.
and his wife, Eleanor who was like a sister to her; and her step-mother Antoinette
Michell. Left to forever cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews: Annette
Accomando (Gerard), Elvin LeFebvre, III (Teri), Vicky Hingle (Edmond), and her
grand-nieces and nephews along with their children: Maria A Edwards (Brad–Mia,
Sonny, Nollie, Bodhi) Mary A Darnell (Tim–Abram) Joseph Accomando, Elizabeth L
Legg (Colin–Eleanor, Vivienne, and Amelia) Elvin LeFebvre, IV (Ashley–Lillian, Lilah,
and Christopher) Noah and Nicholas LeFebvre, Zachary Hingle (Aimee–Everlee,
Finlee) Jordan and Rachael Hingle.
