Jessica Cole "Jessie" Smith

Jessie was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She settled in Southern Mississippi, where she married her husband, Charles Smith, and started her family. Jessie was a strong, free-spirited woman who loved her family and friends through everything.

Jessie loved building trophies and teaching. Many may also know her as the "Trophy Lady." She loved the kids she taught and would help anyone who was in need.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Charles Smith; her children, Winter Phelps (Robert), Justyn Smith (Alyssa), Cole Smith, Timothy Smith (Carissa) and Krystal Snyder (Kason); her mother, Carol Cole; her father Harrel Cole; her sisters, Merry and Keryn; her brother, John-Paul; her five grandchildren, Randall Smith, Cheyenne Smith, Isaiah Smith, Tyler Phelps and Paisley Phelps; and many more she called her own.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Virginia Slaughter; her mother-in-law, Hazel Milam; her adoptive parents, Charlene and David Grabert.

A service will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 1, 2024 with a gathering starting at 5:30 pm at Day Star Church, 12077 Hwy 603, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
