Haschel Hartfield, age 86, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Haschel was born in Poplarville, Mississippi. He was a kind and gentle soul who loved everyone. Haschel was an avid reader who loved history.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Hartfield, Sr. and Velma Hartfield; four sisters, Dorothy Barbaro, Genevieve Dixon, Irma Jean Ward and Virginia Wagnon; four brothers, Martin Hartfield, Jr., Oscar Hartfield, Harold Hartfield and Freddie Hartfield.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his two sisters, Linda Ashe (the late CJ) and Verna Haik (the late Vic) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend Haschel's visitation on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. His funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM, at White Funeral Home, Poplarville, Mississippi. Burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jon Ashe, Jimmy Barbaro, Gary Barbaro, Jeff Barbaro, Tim Haik, Russ Haik, Edward Hartfield and Steven Schultz.
