Carolyn Pierce

Mrs. Pierce was born March 1st, 1949 in Tylertown, Mississippi. A devoted and loving Wife, Mother, and "Mawmaw", her Lord and her family was the center of her world. A dedicated pastor's wife, she was a true servant of God. She was a kindergarten teacher at Victory Christian Academy in McComb, Mississippi and was a longtime Sunday School Teacher.

Carolyn will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and church family at College Heights Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dykes and Vida Spears Dykes, along with eleven brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish the memories of Carolyn is her loving husband of 56 years, Brother Walter Pierce; her two children, Walter Pierce, Jr. and his wife Denise, Pam Stewart and her husband Brother Clark Stewart; four grandchildren, Matthew Stewart and his wife Gabby, Caleb Stewart, Taylor Mitchell and her husband Kenneth, Camryn Strahan and her husband Tyler; and four great grandchildren, Brayson Ray Mitchell, Annlee Jo Mitchell, Piercen Grant Strahan, and Hoyt Brookes Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at College Heights Baptist Church (217 Highway 11 North, Poplarville, Mississippi, 39470) on Thursday, March 10th, 2022 at 11:00 am. Brother Clark Stewart, Brother Acy Barber, and Brother Ed Knox will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (154 Garrett and McGill Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470). The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Stewart, Caleb Stewart, Kenneth Mitchell, Tyler Strahan, Dennis Herndon, and Michael Brown. Honorary pallbearer will be Dwayne Pierce.
