Sarah Idell Walls, age 90, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at her granddaughter's residence in Houlka. She was born on January 25, 1935, to Clarence and Frankie Moore Morgan. Idell retired from the furniture industry. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, working puzzles, and watching Gunsmoke.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Rev. Danny Owens officiating, burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
Survivors include her two daughters, Janie Tutor (Hermon) and Marsha Tackett; four sons, Ronald Walls, Roger Walls (Karen), Roy Walls (Maisie) and Tommy Walls (Phyllis); a sister-in-law, Lettie Morgan; thirteen grandchildren, Charles, Diana, Denise, Ashley, Matthew, Mandy, Sarah, Brittney, Brandon, Briana, Candice, Corey and Craig; thirteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cornis Walls; three brothers, Clarence Edward Morgan, Bennett Morgan and Sherman Morgan; and a great-granddaughter, Sydney Earp.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Self, Corey Walls, Timothy Smith, Morgan Earp, Jonathan Laney and Deven Moore.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM and Thursday from 10 to 11 AM, all at the funeral home.
