David Delikta, age 69, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born March 19, 1949 to Richard Aloysious Delikta and Rita Mae Sulky Nowicki. He was retired from Ford Motor Company where he designed automobiles. David attended Green Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed restoring old automobiles and making stained glass, jewelry and pottery.
Services will be at 2 PM Monday, January 7, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Brian Sansing and Father Tim Murphy officiating, burial will follow in the Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
Survivors include his sister, Elaine O’Bannon of Hull, GA; a sister-in-law, Melinda Patterson Nowicki of Pontotoc, MS; 8 nieces and nephews, Dana Jones, Anthony O’Bannon (Rachel), Tabitha Wilson (Greg), Matthew O’Bannon (Courtney), Shauna Smith (Kyle), Krystin White (Brian), Kayla Bagwell (Preston) and Kensley Nowicki; twelve great-nieces and nephews, Hunter O’Bannon (Allison), Tristan O’Bannon, Tyler O’Bannon, Callie O’Bannon, Zoe Parks, Lexie Hanson, Madison Hanson, Ollie O’Bannon, Ella O’Bannon, Devin Williams, Dustin Williams, Draysin Jones, Brantley White and Skylar White; and two great-great niece and nephew, Easton Williams and Ellie O’Bannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his Dad, Robert Anthony Nowicki, and a brother, Kenneth Nowicki.
Pallbearers will be Anthony O’Bannon, Matthew O’Bannon, Hunter O’Bannon, Devin Williams, Brian White, Preston Bagwell, Kyle Smith and Dustin Williams.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Sunday and from 1 to 2 PM Monday at the funeral home.
