Wade Walton

April 5, 1945 – July 26, 2022

Wade Walton passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Mr. Walton is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Daniel Walton and Mattie Estelle Cooper Walton, and siblings Dorothy Walton Kemp, Walter Harding Walton, Andy Caldwell Walton, Earline Walton Davis, and Robbie Walton Horton.

He is survived by his best friend and companion of 18 years, Robert (Bob) DeMeo; son Tony Walton (Yolanda), daughter Stephanie Walton Staples; grandchildren, Justin Staples (Leslie), Alexis Walton Brittain (Christopher), Jordan Walton, Joshua Walton, Jaryd Walton, Ashlyn Etheredge, Jaeden Etheredge; great-grandchildren, Jaxen Staples, Emma Wood, Rowan Brittain, and Rhett Brittain; siblings Mattie Sue Walton Shaw, Gary Cooper Walton, Nancy Walton Brasher, and Kenneth Wales Walton (Nellie).

To know Wade, was to know a lover of people and a giver. He served his country proudly, throughout the world, as a soldier in the United States Army. He spent many years as the Governor of the Pompano Beach, Florida Moose Lodge 2157. His life of 77 years included many passions; Family, Faith, Friendships, Music, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Racquetball, University of Alabama Football, and anything Italian.

The legacy left behind by Wade Walton, will forever provide a pathway of love and light, to illuminate the lives of those who knew him.
