Rofina was an amazing woman! She always made me feel welcomed and loved! I would often sit with Rofina  eating snacks and conversing about life.  She was a great cook and taught  me a few dishes that I still make to this day, especially her fried rice.  I have  fond memories with her and shared many events and  holidays.  I will never forget this one Christmas, I bought her a pair of earrings but I wasn’t sure if she liked them or not. She would wear them often and always pointed them out.  That’s how kind she always was.  She was dedicated to her family and friends and loved to be around them. I’m happy that I stayed in touch with her  over the years and she’ll always have a special place in my heart! Sending love and hugs to her family whom she loved so much!

Auntie you have left so many sweet memories and joy that no one could ever forget you. 
And the few times we met made me realise just how important family is to you.
Our sad loss will be shared by all those you love.

Heart felt  condolences to the  entire family.        May you all remember and hold dear  the love, warmth, togetherness and sense of family  Ms Rofina fostered and nurtured as so many have shared .  While this is a journey she must travel alone,   always remember love never dies but only changes form.
Ms. Rofina you have merely awoken from the dream of life and  your  journey now continues.  Thank you for the  wonderful gifts you leave behind in the form of your children and grandchildren who so many are honored to call friend. 

Rofina was such a warm and loving lady, mother and grandmother. I will never forget how inviting and delicious every meal she prepared was. Sitting around her table no matter when felt like Thanksgivings, Christmas or some special holiday. There would be a dish for each person’s individual tastes and everything was wonderful. You could  truly taste and feel the loving energy she put into caring for her family.  I am truly blessed and grateful to have had such a wonderful woman not just in my life but as my honorary grandmother.  She was truly a diamond in the rough. She is greatly love and will be missed dearly.

We knew one day she would leave us, but we thought we had much more time.  Because to us, she was still very young and deserving of so much more.  We always thought we had more time with her and did not expect to lose her so suddenly. It broke our hearts to see her go.

She instilled in us values and ethics so that we could make the right decisions in life. She worked tirelessly throughout the years to make sure her family was provided for well, that her children had an education, opportunities they could take advantage of to make a good life for themselves and make her proud.  Her children were to be her legacy.  

We did not know the sacrifices and hard work that went into giving us a good life when growing up – we had very nice homes and were comfortable.  We could not have accomplished what she had done for us if we had the start in life as she did.  She was a very strong person and never gave up on her family.  She loved us so much.  She believed in us. 

She was renowned for her cooking and all our family friends looked forward to dining at our home and coming by for the holidays to enjoy her meals.  Our friends gravitated towards her when they came to our home and enjoyed being in her company so much that after a while, the visits were really to see her.

Moving to Florida to start a new life was when we saw firsthand her strength and fortitude to make it a success again – for her family.  She sacrificed again to provide for her children to have a chance of a better life to stand on their own.  She loved gardening and when she purchased her new home, her garden was one of the best in the area and she spent hours nurturing her plants. 

Her neighbors enjoyed her company, they said she was very gentle and kind. There were times when people were taking walks, they could smell the aroma of her cooking and commented on it, even asking for a recipe.

The charities she supported were for babies and children.  She even sponsored children in other countries where they received care and an education - so proud she was to see their progress.

She was young at heart still.  She loved the talent shows on TV and seeing young people perform.  She enjoyed the Country Music Award and the American Music Award shows. She surprised us by knowing some of the new songs and singers.

Every Sunday, she played her Christian and gospel songs for 4 – 6 hours.  She watched the Hallmark channel during the weekend and kept up with her detective shows.  Every year, when the Air and Sea Show would come to Fort Lauderdale, she sat outside to watch the flights and stunts, waving to them and this last time, one of the pilots doubled back for her.

Christmas was her favorite holiday season and the festivities that went along with it. New Year’s Eve she would meet up with our neighbors that lived across the streets to watch fireworks and a very funny tradition of watching them “banging the pots” for the New Year.

She kept in touch with her family and friends, noting their birthdays and making calls to her family in England where she spent memorable holidays.  For us children, her gift to us was the special and loving way, she would telephone us or leave us a voicemail singing deliberately, her own off-key rendition of "Happy Birthday".  How we will miss those. 

Once grandchildren and a great grandchild were born, she felt renewed as now she had babies in the family again. This next generation were her new baby boys and beautiful baby girls.  She made up a very funny baby song for them – funny because she made up a beat and the song had just one word – that she made up for the lyric - but they all loved it and chuckled and laughed and danced to it as babies.  Somehow, they found the rhythm. She had the most fun watching them grow up and hearing about the grandchildren that she could not see as much.  She purchased a home with her grandchildren specifically in mind so that if needed, it was there for them. She would pick them up from school or be at home for them when they arrived. She attended school events, enjoyed their dressing up for Halloween - princesses, fairies, ninjas, power rangers, not to mention their school dances.  The children in the neighborhood, said she always gave them the best candies. She loved to see all the costumes.  She was proud of the influence she had in her grandchildren's lives, lovingly contributing to their care and education and seeing how much it benefited them. She was very proud of all her grandchildren, taking pleasure in their educational and career accomplishments.  She wanted them all to have every happiness and be with people that love them, are supportive, complement who they are and bring out the best in them and treat them with respect. They are also her legacy. She looked forward to their visits and spending time with them. Just to hear from them or see them would revitalize her and give her so much joy.

She was amazing and she didn’t know it.  She tried to spare us any unhappiness or stress.  She was the backbone of our family and we would not have made it without her.  She was always there to cushion or find a solution to our problems without any thought of what she would have to give up – she never asked for anything in return.  Up to the end, she was still sacrificing and giving. There is no one else like her.

She is forever in our hearts and we carry her with us always.

My deepest condolences to the Ebanks and extended family.  I pray God will comfort you during this difficult time.  
Mrs.  Ebanks was very caring and kind to me over the many years I have known the family. Whenever I visited, she delighted in sharing the delicious food always ready in the kitchen.  If I called Annmarie and they were together, we would exchange greetings, and the conversation would bring a smile to my face.  I felt her genuine compassion and love for me, and her family.

Precious memories how they linger…Oh mom I do cherish those memories where Rodrick and Annmarie would take you up on the weekends to visit with Reggie and I.  It was so precious to see you interacting with your son.  We knew you weren’t well but you were a trooper.  You did enjoy visiting with us and loved having you.
