Margaret “Margee” Mary Horkheimer, age 73, of Lighthouse Point, FL, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. Born on December 23, 1951, in Lordship, Connecticut. Margee spent over 40 years working as a realtor, where her hard work, dedication, and professionalism were admired by those who knew her. But her greatest accomplishments and joys came from her family.
Margee was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Di Martino and her brother Kenny Di Martino. She leaves behind her surviving siblings, her brother Joey Di Martino and her sister Donna Reel. Margee’s love for her family was boundless and her legacy will continue through the lives of her son Danny, daughter in law Beth Horkheimer, daughter Jill, son in law Brent Thompson, grandson Chase, granddaughter Mia Thompson, grandson Drew Horkheimer, and those she loved so deeply.
A wake will be held Thursday, December, 19 2024 at Kraeer Funeral Home at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 5:30pm-7:30pm. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 20, 2024 at 4:30pm at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2700 NE 36 Street, Lighthouse Point, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tunnel to Tower Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project in Margee’s honor.
Margee will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her love for her family, her faith, and her joy in life. She will be greatly missed but, forever in the hearts of those she touched.
