Lena Graduated from Dieruff High School in 1974 and from Lehigh Valley College in 1977 as a Registered Nurse. She married her loving husband in Los Angeles, CA in 1996.
Lena worked in general medical practice until 1992 when she became a flight attendant with United Airlines. She left United Airlines in 2007 and worked in retail sales until she medically retired in 2012. She was a member of Ladies Let's go Fishing club and also a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. She died after many years living with congestive heart failure issues.
Lena is survived by her spouse, Brooks Black; Sister Zenna Frederick, Allentown , PA and step Daughter April Black, Crescent City, FL.
A visitation for Lena will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2500 NE 14th St. Causeway, Pompano Beach, FL 33062. A committal service will occur Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.
Serving as pallbearers are George Black , Mark Black , John Hudson , Art Kamm, Robert Vogel and Joe McGee .
