Johnnie Frank Kemp was born on July 18, 1951, to the parents of the late Frank Kemp and the late Arsie L. Dennis-Adams in Atmore Alabama. He transitioned from this life to eternity on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Affectionately known as "Cool Breeze" he graduated from Escambia County High School in 1971. While living in Atmore, Alabama Johnny was a member of Zion Star AME Church. He was a Miami Dolphins fan and loved football. He was employed with A & D Top &Textile Supply Company as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his father: Frank Kemp, mother: Arsie L. Dennis-Adams, grandparents: Harold and Hilma Dennis, Slim and Myrtle Kemp.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beautiful wife; Beverly Johnston-Kemp of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, son: Johnnie Kemp Frank Gray of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, bonus daughters; Tiffany (Broderick) Brown both of Philadelphia, PA., Eva Kabukuru of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, brothers: George L. (Stephanie) Adams of Dickerson, Texas, Jimmy (Joan) Hall of Monroe, Georgia, sisters; Voncile Kemp (John Bell) of Atmore, Alabama, Callie (Greg) Moye of Pensacola, Florida brother-in-laws; Kenneth Johnston and Las Simmonds of London, sister-in-law; Grace Johnston of New, York and a host of grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A viewing for Cool Breeze will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, Florida 33064. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
