Price, Frank E. age 83 of Pompano Beach, passed away on October 29th, 2011. Born in Milwaukee, Frank moved to Pompano Beach eight years ago from Hartland, Wisconsin. He was a retired contractor. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Joanne; by son, Michael (Maria) Price; grandchildren: Julia and Elizabeth Price; and by his brother, John F. Price. A memorial service will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 731 North Ocean Boulevard, Pompano Beach, FL 33062 on Saturday 11/12/2011, 12 Noon followed by a luncheon at Century Plaza 1012 N. A Memorial Service will also be held in Hartland, WI at St Charles Catholic Church, on Friday, Dec 2nd, at 11:30a, with family visitation before the service and a lunch after the service at the church.
Frank Served in the US Army from 1950-1952, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He then continued his volunteer service for the Lake Country Communities of Delafield, and Hartland, Wisconsin. Frank served his community as an Alderman for the City of Delafield from 1960-1964, The Lake Welfare Committee from 1976-1998, and on the City of Delafield Police, and Fire Commission from 1972-1998.
Frank was also an active member of the Nagawicka Lake Yacht Club, and the Inland Lake Yachting Association (ILYA), Bilge Pullers for many years. He served as the NLYC Commodore in 1961 and as Admiral for the ILYA. In winters Frank was a curler supporting the Kettle Moraine Curling Club, he was one of the original founders.
Frank worked for the Price Erecting Company of Milwaukee, and West Allis for more than 40 years, overseeing record breaking crane lifts and structural steel installations.
