LENTINI, DEBORAH J, 71, Pompano Beach, passed away November 1st, 2023, peacefully and surrounded by her family. Ms. Lentini was born on February 22, 1952, in Barnesboro PA, the daughter of John and Marjorie Linden. Preceded in death by parents; John and Marjorie (Craver) Linden. She is survived by her devoted children Jared (Hannah) Silverman, Pompano Beach, FL; Chelsea (Aaron) Whitson, Weaverville, NC; Mandee Oser, Fort Wayne, IN; and grandchildren, Kayla and Parker Silverman, and Cameron and Oliver Oser.
Deborah graduated from Northern Cambria High School in 1970 in which she was voted “Best Looking” of her class. Deborah’s achievements both academic and social did not end here, shortly after graduating High School she attended Pennsylvania State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1974. Deborah moved to Key Biscayne, FL the same year; Florida would become Deborah’s second home where she would start a family of her own. She began her nursing career in the ER of Mt. Sinai Medical Center where she would work for 12 years. In 1987 she began working at IVF Florida until 2017 as an OR supervisor. She also started working for CSI Catalano’s Nurse Registry as a home health nurse in 2004 until 2023, parallel to her fulltime job. With over 40 years of nursing experience in 2017, Deborah decided to share her knowledge by teaching at Keiser University as a Coordinator of the Nursing Laboratory.
Deborah was proud of her chosen profession as a Nurse and University Educator in world-class facilities throughout Florida. Everything she did, from her career to daily actions, always had a purpose, and it was for the benefit of someone else. Deborah frequently surprised people with thoughtful gifts and genuinely enjoyed giving more than receiving. The one thing that she did for herself was travel. Fortunately, she was able to travel a lot, as she always dreamed. As a selfless and loving mother, she also encouraged her children to grow, relocate, and learn about the world.
Above her devotion to nursing and passion for traveling, what she loved most in this life was her family. As an only child, she turned friends and cousins into siblings, leaving her children more aunts and uncles than most! Deborah's love and devotion to her family was second to none. Known affectionately to her family and friends as “Nonna” and “Debbie.” She will be missed immensely, loved, and in our hearts for all eternity. Cheers to Nonna!!
Florida-based family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life, which will be held at 4 pm, November 18, 2023, at Galuppi’s: 1103 N Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach, FL 33062.
