passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Manoir Beaconsfield. Beloved wife of the late William Fullerton, Marie is mourned by her three daughters, their husbands, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her large extended family.
Marie was born in South Dorchester Township. She loved and was proud of her Hevenor family and Southern Ontario heritage. She became a nurse and met the love of her life, Bill, while they were both working in Hamilton. She took great pride in the family they raised together. Bill’s career led them to experience life in Arvida, Switzerland, Chicago and Atlanta before finally settling in Montreal West. Together with Bill, she particularly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Marie was always ready to help out in the community, sharing her talents for cooking and sewing. She was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed golfing and curling, eventually representing Quebec in the Canadian Senior Women’s Curling Championships. Though in her later years she was affected by dementia, her fiery personality never faded, and she was always ready with hugs and kisses. The family greatly appreciates the loving and compassionate care she received from the wonderful staff at Manoir Beaconsfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by a chapel service and reception at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to NOVA West Island (https://www.novawi.org/home) would be appreciated.
