Dear Christian, Asa and Faith,

Lots of lovely childhood memories of Dot, from eating her "sticky" millionaire's shortbread, camping holidays in the UK and Europe, sleeping on a glacier to visiting Niagara falls with Dot and Faith - wearing those lovely yellow macs and hats! Capsizing in the Canadian canoe in the middle of nowhere was particularly memorable!  Thanks for all the warm memories and good times, Dot and family. Love from Abi x 

I remember Dot as a delightful young lady who was just so ebullient, intelligent and caring.  She epitomised joie de vivre - she had a joy of everything; it was a philosophy of life.  Clearly that has never changed, as borne out by her photograph and the recollections of others.

As Morrie Schwartz said "Death ends a life, not a relationship".

My sincere condolences to all her family and friends.

I have  a lot of happy memories of time spent as a child with Aunty Dot and the Rhodes clan. Lots of camping trips and days playing in New Mills.  Dot was full of energy and we always had fun. Sending lots of love to the Rhodeses xx

We remember Dot as Dave's sister in law, and good friend to us both. We have very warm memories of a vibrant and warm personality, and of lots of  rich and fun times spent together.
A true friend who was there for us both in times of need, she enriched our lives and those  of all who  were fortunate enough to know her.

I fondly remember how when David and I would go to see movies in Tim's basement how Dot and I would snuggle up together under a blanket and share chocolate.  I also remember the many lunches we shared  and how we'd laugh as both of us would get lost trying to find the restaurant...

Dorothy,  my first cousin of similar age, has always been there. The memories start as small kids running around Hilbre Island in the River Dee wearing only parts of our underwear. Then the sharing and comparing school, university and immigrant experiences.  And in the last few years the search for continued recognition though hand holding during her struggle with that terrible disease. We love you, and will never forget you. Dot,  a long time friend who was part of my life although not seen for many years.  I say goodbye now with happy memories of younger days with our children and families.  

My sincere condolences to everyone.

We remember Dot in happier times after being introduced by mutual friends.We also all volunteered as Mentors at Heritage High Scool on the South Shore.Dot was bright,fun and good company.As we have out of town family visiting we will not be able to pay our respects,but send our sympathy to Dot's loved ones.It has been a long goodbye.Sandra and David🌹
