André Godin

After a period of declining health, having lived with cancer for many years, it is with great sadness that the family of Andre Godin announces that he has passed away at The Lakeshore General Hospital on November 1st, 2023.

Andre was born in Shawinigan to Joseph Godin and Cécile Deslaurier. He was predeceased by his wife Alma Godin (nee Brownstein), his brother Marcel Godin and his sister Jeanne Godin (Dubé). He is survived by his significant other, Encarnacion De Leon Tuazon.

He was the father to Christopher Godin (Julie Roberts) and Deborah Godin (Timothy Mann). He will be fondly missed by Ronald Tuazon, Roy Tuazon (Stephanie Brookman), Logan Tuazon, Nelson Tuazon (Nicole Valley), Xander Tuazon and Keidra Tuazon. Andre’s smile would light up a room. Andre was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart. He was the soul of generosity who enjoyed being around people (Kirkland 55+ club) and travelling the world.

He will be remembered for the heart that he shared with his family and friends. When his time came, he carried himself with strength and dignity. He will truly be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

In memory of André and his incredible life, a gravesite service will be held at Jardins Commémoratifs et Salon Funéraire Rideau, located at 4239 Bd des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9B 2A6, Canada on Saturday, November 18th at 2pm.
