Kenny was born on July 22nd, 1985, in Tampa, FL. to parents Grace Moore and Kenneth Russell Edenfield, SR. Kenny attended Plant City High School and was active in the Marching Band. He graduated in 2005, and began working at Jarrett Scott Ford in Plant City on the Lube Rack. In March 2008, Kenny met the love of his life, Elizabeth Jean, on Myspace. They were engaged Thanksgiving Day and joined in marriage the following year. In 2013, Kenny and Beth were blessed with the guardianship of their 2 boys, Derek and Jayson, that they later adopted in August 2015. Kenny and his family moved to Tennessee October, 2018. In August 2020, he found a job he loved, even of the tough days, at Colgate in Morristown as a Security Guard for DSI Security. His coworkers and supervisors describe Kenny as kind-hearted, loving everyone he interacted with.
Kenny had the biggest heart; he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Kenny knew how to have fun and would be the bright spot in a dark, gloomy day. People closest to him describe him as "larger than life", always joking, always having a good time. Kenny was an amazing father to two little boys that he didn’t have to love like he did. He knew how to be a kid; numerous times he and his boys would jam out to "It’s Raining Tacos" (as loud as they could get it), having the best time. Kenny didn’t care who was watching nor what was said, he truly enjoyed life and lived life to the fullest. Kenny was a member of The General Assembly of the Pentecostal Church of God in Tampa, FL. where he was a youth leader. He displayed his selflessness frequently by volunteering to pick up whoever wanted to go to church, taking them home after services. He never once asked for anything in return, he just did it out of the kindness of his heart. Kenny was the type of person that you couldn’t go anywhere without him knowing someone, always taking the time to catch up like he’s known them forever. Kenny will never be duplicated and will be forever missed.
Kenny is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his two sons Derek and Jayson; his mother Grace Moore and his father Kenneth Edenfield Sr.; sisters Amanda Rushing and Amy Moore; brothers James Moore Jr., Shane Edenfield, Joshua Moore, and Ashley (Bud) Reed; grandmother Mattie McDaniel. He is also survived by uncles Jonathan McDaniel, William McDaniel, Simon McDaniel; aunts Marcia McDaniel, Jessica McDaniel, and Melissa McDaniel; 5 nieces and 4 nephews as well as many loving cousins and friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his father James Moore, brother Tommy Hampton, aunts Lillie Mae Floyd and Gail Boswell, and grandfather Harold (Shorty) McDaniel.
The visitation will be held November 5th, 2021 at Full Gospel Tabernacle, Plant City, FL. at 12 noon; followed by a memorial service at 1 pm.
