Karen J. Sakelaris

She was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County and she retired from Hillsborough County Public Schools. Karen loved life and was a joy to be around. She always had a smile, quick wit, and a twinkle in her eye. She loved cats, and especially her fur baby, Evie. She had a special love in her heart for the Lord and for all people. Karen will be sorely missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Marilyn Herring and her step son, Patrick John Sakelaris. She is survived by her husband, Patrick James Sakelaris of Panama City; her sister, Sharon Herring of Plant City; cousin, Kathy Anne Jaudon (David) of Dover, and many other extended family members, friends and her Baptist Purity Church family.

A visitation for Karen will be on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Sharon Purity Baptist Church, 3506 Young Road, Plant City, Florida 33565 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Karen will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plant CIty, Florida.
