MCCOY, John C., age 95, of Plant City, FL passed away on August 7, 2017. John was born to John Henry and Luvenia McCoy in Swainsboro, GA on January 8, 1922. John was a US Army veteran and a member at New Beginnings in Plant City. He loved music, playing his guitar, gardening, and, most of all, his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Velma McCoy; daughter, Annie Pearl McCoy; and son, Fredrick Eugene McCoy. Family who survive are sons, Eddie McCoy (Glenda), Johnny McCoy (Joanne), Richard McCoy (Bonnie); daughters, Doris Terry, Virginia Gauvreau (Paul), Josie Shepherd (Ronald), Jane Jones (Gary); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be at Wells Memorial in Plant City on August 11, 2017 from 1-2pm with a funeral service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Enon Cemetery in Plant City. Condolences may be made online at www.wellsmemorial.com.
