Dorothy Loette Strickland, age 74, passed away on Dec. 22, 2013 at Lakeland Regional. She was born on Sept. 5, 1939 in Plant City to James and Ruth (Norman) Hiott. She married Jay W. Strickland, who survives. She was a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God. Loette, Moma, Nana as she was affectionately known is survived by her husband Jay of 54 years, a son Jay W. Jr. (Allison), a daughter Denise Thomas (Tommy), seven grandchildren, Jason Strickland, Christina Kupsch (Jeremy), Courtney Strickland, Kaylee Strickland, Thomas Thomas III (Erica), Kristin Thomas, and Seth Thomas. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Hiott, and a sister, Mable McDonald.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday Dec. 27, 2013 2:00 PM at Faith Temple Assembly of God, 4240 N. Frontage Road, Plant City. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Mt. Enon. Memorials may be made to Faith Temple Assembly of God.
