David Anthony Braun, 34, crossed over to the other side unexpectedly April 18th 2019. He was born and raised in Marietta Ohio. Following High School graduation, his path led him in to the USMC. After serving two deployments in Iraq. His continued interest in the military led him to join the U.S. Army. He served two additional tours, one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal. Additionally, he earned a Sharp Shooter award for rifle and a Marksman award for pistols. He attended South West Florida College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in public service. In 2009, he married Whitney who he’d met shortly after joining the Army. After his retirement from the military, he utilized his bachelor’s degree to become a Juvenile Corrections Officer in Atlanta Georgia.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Frank and Rose Chutes as well as Ralph and Geraldine Braun. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Whitney Braun. He also leaves his parents, Dana and Linda Braun, brother, Michael Braun (RaeAnn) and their children Jaden and Mackenzie. Also surviving him are his therapy dogs, Kicker and Zodiac.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, April 28th at 1pm at the Grace United Methodist Church, 1801 East Cherry St. Plant City, FL 33563
