Tulia was a housekeeper for many years, where she took pride in her work and did an exceptional job. She had a passion for seasonal decorating, especially at Christmastime. Not only did Tulia make the inside of her home beautiful, she enjoyed being outdoors and tending to her flower gardens. Tulia enjoyed cooking and baking and was a talented seamstress as well. She had a zest for life and loved to dance, especially to the Vallenato. Tulia was the life of the party, although she was reserved when she first met someone. She found joy in the small things, was a wonderful friend, and adored her family. Tulia worked hard to ensure that her daughter had the best of everything. Her sacrifice and commitment to being a mom brought her true contentment. Tulia cherished her relationship with her daughter and especially her granddaughter. She enjoyed painting, making cookies, sewing doll clothes, and making breakfast daily for her granddaughter, Alison, who was her pride and joy. Tulia will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
In addition to her parents, Tulia was preceded in death by her sister, Lourdes Montanez; and brother, Jose Antonio Montanez. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Karen Marmara & James Bailey of Sachse, Texas; granddaughter, Alison Bailey; sisters, Cecilia Montanez and Maruja Montanez, both of Venezuela; and her beloved dog, Mac.
