It is with deep sorrow that the Ted Dickey Funeral Home announces the death of Samuel A Shields, which occurred on Monday, December 16, 2024. Mr. Shields was well beloved in the Plano and throughout the area and was known by many simply as "Coach". A visitation for Coach will be held on Friday, December 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held the following day, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 10:00 am. All services will take place at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, TX.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in his honor to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
