Born 10/12/19 in Forth Worth, Texas to Jesse and Ruth Gentry Hemingway. Deceased January 25, 2011 in Plano, Texas. Ruby is preceded in death by parents Jessie and Ruth Hemingway, brothers Jessie Jr., Jack and James Robert. Survived by sister-in-law Edna A. Hemingway, niece Michelle Hemingway and husband Richard, nephew David Hemingway, several cousins in Sacramento, California and a host of friends.
Ruby was a graduate of Poly High School and retired from Amoco, now owned by British Petroleum. Prior to working for Amoco, she worked for F.W. Woolworth, the General Dynamics aircraft plant, and Poly Baptist Church.
Visitation to be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas on Thursday, January 27, 4 to 6 pm. Services will be at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road, Plano, Texas on Friday, January 28 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, Texas.
