Roxanne Marie Slemaker

The former Miss Roxie Shepherd was born in Tulsa, OK on July 13, 1958. She was a 1976 graduate of Will Rogers High School and attended Tulsa Community College. She accepted a job as an operator with AT&T. A move to St Louis, MO positioned her into various company roles. Her next transfer to Dallas, TX landed her in various positions including call center methods, procedures, and management. Overall, her time culminated in a 43-year career with AT&T where she was a member of the Professional Women of AT&T.

Roxie enjoyed live performances of all kinds from local bands to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and rarely missed a Rockettes performance when they were in town.

Roxie is survived by husband Court Slemaker, daughter Alexandra, son Max, mother Bernadine Shepherd, brother Michael Shepherd, sister Jamie and husband Michael Wehmeyer, niece Whitney and nephew Travis.
