Robert John Matz, formerly of Sarasota, Florida, and recently of Plano, Texas, passed away on September 17, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Jan Morrison of Plano and his son David Matz of North East, Maryland. As per his wishes, he was cremated and his ashes will be interred in the columbarium at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sarasota, Florida. A memorial service is planned at a later date in Florida.Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, Texas has charge of his arrangements.
