Mark A. Rossman, age 60, passed away on September 1, 2017 in Plano, Texas. Mark was born on April 30, 1957 in Alto, Texas. He was raised in Tyler, Texas and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School where he was a Lee Gentlemen. Mark went on to graduate from Baylor University in 1979 with a degree in Finance. Mark worked in indirect auto lending with Ford Motor Co. and retired at 20 years of service. He has enjoyed working with Texans Credit Union for the past few years. Mark is survived by his beloved wife Pam, to whom he was married for 35 years. Also by his daughters, Taylor Hagler and Ally Neill and her husband David, as well as three grandchildren Emily Hagler, Dallas and Landry Neill. He’s also survived by his parents Dr. Robert and Mary Rossman, brothers Mike, Bryan, and Wes, along with sisters Cindy and Kathy. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents Agnes and Lloyd Rossman, his aunt Beverly Fontenot, his niece Kelli Anne Harper, his great-niece Cassidy Riley and his sister-in-law Cynthia Rossman.
Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandkids, who endearingly called him “Pop.” Mark’s love for cooking was enjoyed by so many. His specialties were fried, fresh or off the grill. Mark also had many annual traditions like the family crawfish boil, taking his granddaughter, Emily, to the State Fair of Texas, and cooking a “Man Steak” for his son-in-law, David. Mark and Pam loved the many years they spent traveling in their motor home with their girls and travel buddies, sister Cindy & brother in law John Harper. All those that knew Mark loved him and he will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept 4th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in East Plano at 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5th at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Plano at 3160 East Spring Creek Pkwy. Plano, Texas 75074.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to the First United Methodist Church Plano Endowment Fund in honor of Mark Rossman.
