Kevin K. Jennings

Kevin was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on November 16, 1960, to Ken and Olive Jennings. The family moved to Dallas when Kevin was a young boy and the family ultimately settled in Plano, TX.

A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, Dec 17, 2024 at 2pm at Plano Mutual Cemetery, 2128 18th St Plano, Texas 75074.

Kevin and his father were very active in youth sports which culminated in Kevin being a highly recruited offensive lineman after being a key member of the 1978 and 1979 Plano High School football teams where he participated in two state championship games winning the title in 1978.

After numerous college football scholarship offers, Kevin decided to stay local and attend Southern Methodist University. He was a member of the 1979 recruiting class that was ranked as the best in the nation. As a member of the “Pony Express”, Kevin played offensive guard and tackle and helped “clear the way” for the running back duo of Dickerson and James.

As a member of the SMU football team, Kevin played in the Holiday Bowl, the Cotton Bowl and the Sun Bowl. Most importantly, it was during those times that Kevin developed friendships that literally lasted for life. Up to the last days, Kevin posted greetings and well wishes to his “Brothers for Life” on a social media site for his former teammates. Kevin was loved by and loved all his Mustang teammates.

After graduating from SMU, Kevin entered the real estate business. In 1992, Kevin became associated with Westdale Real Estate Investment and Management. Kevin spent 30 plus years as the Director of Acquisitions. Over that period of time, Kevin arranged billions of dollars of acquisitions and dispositions of primarily multi-family rental properties across the southern U.S. He was well known and respected throughout the investment sales community.

In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed hanging out with friends at the lake house on Lake Texoma or on the gulf coast at Perdido Key, playing golf, fishing, hunting and enjoying the great American outdoors. Kevin had a wide range of friends dating back to his Plano High School days, the time spent at SMU and his many decades involved in real estate transactions across the south.

Kevin was preceded by the death of his mother, father and his sister, Juanita.
