Born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1939, Joyce's life touched the lives of many.
Joyce was welcomed into eternity by her beloved husband, Ed Hagins; her parents, Tutsy and Oscar Tallman; and her brother, Don Tallman. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those she left behind, including her sons, Brett and Jeff Hagins, and their spouses, Susan and Amy Hagins. Joyce's legacy will continue to live on through her six grandchildren: Blake, Grant, Madelyn, Kaitlyn, Claire, and Michael, as well as her sister-in-law, Marilyn Sobke, alongside a close-knit circle of extended family and friends who were like family.
In her youth, Joyce's talent shone brightly as a dancer, captivating audiences on national television in the 1950s. She loved traveling the world with her husband Ed. Joyce's professional journey was marked by her profound impact as a special education teacher, a vocation she pursued after graduating from Texas Tech. She had a unique gift for reaching and uplifting those in need through her work at the Assistance Center of Collin County, where she served as a beacon of hope and support for countless individuals in crisis.
Joyce was a devoted mother and loved spending time with friends and family; she loved to watch the news and do crossword puzzles.
A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at CSL Dallas at 4801 Spring Valley Road Suite 115 Dallas Texas 75244 on April 13th at 4pm.
