Jan Kueck

Janice Martha Kueck, age 71 of Plano, Texas passed away on December 5, 2016. She was born on March 15, 1945 in Denver, Colorado. Jan graduated from Denver Lutheran High School and received her Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. Jan met her husband Richard Harvey Kueck on a double date in Iowa, and married on March 28, 1970. They enjoyed serving in the church, spending time with family, and enjoyed trying new restaurants. Jan taught at Faith Lutheran School for 33 years. Before that, she taught 4 years in Iowa. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, and her passions were teaching, singing, and reading God’s word. The cold winters in Iowa brought them to Texas, where Jan continued her love of serving in the church and teaching children. No child that came into her classroom left without knowing the 23rd Psalm. She was survived by her husband, Richard Harvey Kueck, children, Daniel Kueck, Brenda Cumming, Jonathan Kueck, son-in-law Dave Cumming, daughter-in-law Nikki Kueck, grandchildren, Nathan Kueck, Brian Kueck, Riley Kueck, Micah Cumming, Aaron Cumming, Jacob Cumming, Elijah Kueck, Benjamin Kueck, Katrina Kueck, sister Joyce Opper, and Mother-in-law Dora Kueck.
