After a ten-month struggle with kidney cancer, Beryl Eva Bordelon Bell died September 5, 2017 at her home in Plano, Texas, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 25, 1939 in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Her parents were John Bordelon and Eva Demourelle Bordelon. She married Larry Neill Bell in 1962 in Lafayette, Louisiana where both were employed by the Atlantic Refining Company. They worked in Lafayette; Odessa, Texas; Anchorage, Alaska; then Dallas, Texas until Larry retired from ARCO Oil & Gas Company, successor to Atlantic Refining Company. Beryl was predeceased by her parents and two older sisters, Anna Lou Manuel and Ursula Matte. She is survived by daughters Jean McSpadden (Don) of Mabank, Texas; Susan DeWeese of Plano; Mary DeCardenas (Kirk) of Dallas; son Neill Bell (Morgan) of Plano; grandchildren Caitlin and Kendall DeWeese and Henry and Charlie DeCardenas and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends all over the world. There will be no services. If desired, donations in her name may be made to a charity of your choice.
