Thinking back to our days at St Lucy grammar school you will always be Pats little brother. Even in your passing you will always be remembered as a little kid that could unleash a mean one in a snowball fight !

Watching opening day as I received this email notification.  I know he was a die hard Yankee fan as am I. He was my boss as the CO of PSA7 and I was his PSA7 FIO.  Was shocked and very sad when I heard the news. Never knew he was born 10 days before me. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children. Rest in Peace Boss. You will be truly missed.

As a naive  20 year old from London Town on he's first journey away from home, You were the highlight of my 6 month trip, spending 3 weeks together on Jones beach, enjoying Kathleen’s wonderful oversized dinners, Budweiser beer, the Yankees, and your wonderful sense of humour. RIP cuz. And thank you so much for the wonderful memories… John

I am very sad to learn of the passing of Brendan.  I knew Brendan for many wonderful years and was always impressed by his love of family, his devotion to his profession and his sometimes wicked sense of humor.  He knew my parents too and was always so warm and friendly to them--he would call my father the Colonel and my father loved it.  He was a very good soul.  I am so sorry he is gone and my condolences to his family and friends, of which I am sure there are many.

I am so sad to read this news. Brendan, was always kind, warm and friendly to the family. I have very nice memories of him over the years. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. He will be missed very much.

Such an incredible person, and incredible Friend. We go back to almost the beginning. Playing on the huge piles of food crates behind ShopWell. Shoveling driveways for money, and shoveling the U Yard so we could play stickball. That U Yard was ours, and I know I speak for all of us who spent our first decades in that concrete paradise with Brendan. Playing cards, craps, off the stoop, football. Lighting firecrackers, ashcans, rockets. Hitting the buses and occasionally a neighborhood gangster, with  snowballs. What laughs we had!!  Then we got older. Day Camp. CYO. Fishing on Fordham St. in City Island. Driving around in the Rambler, then the little yellow Toyota. Doing deliveries, driving around the neighborhood, or visiting Kevin at Cathedral. What laughs we had!!    
Then we got older. Hanging out at The Lounge, The Cue Lounge, numerous diners, Gino’s, The Stadium, The Garden. Sneaking into the Allerton movies, greasing the ticket guy at the Garden, and crashing the Nassau Coliseum many times. Our 6:30am arrival in the Philly parking lot  after driving thru the nite for the Giants first playoff game in 17 years!  Deciding at 1am in Marty & Lenny’s that we HAD to be there! Then after getting thrown out of a local bar for being exposed as NY fans, we proceed to get thrown out of Veterans Stadium not once, but twice! And each time we got back in with peoples stubbs and were there for when our Giants stunned the Eagles 20-3!  We drove out of there like we owned that City. Even though we were so close to getting locked up!  The laughs we had!!  I can go on & on. Thanks so much my brother. Give my best to everyone. You’re now an Angel. Pretty cool.

He was a good friend and mentor of mine.  He gave me great advice &  looked out for everyone.  May he rest in peace.

Where do I begin?A piece of my heart has been ripped out! The man who went to kindergarten and 8 years at St Lucy’s, 4 years at Cardinal Spellman, took the NYPD test with me, hunted down the Son of Sam with me and who was the only person left out of 8 to help me find my stolen bicycle at 12 years old is gone! Oh, and when we searched the worst neighborhoods of the Bronx to find the bike and the Detective told us that we would be cops one day, we couldn’t have laughed harder at him! Guess what? We took the test together at Evander and got appointed 2 years later. 
The Yankees? Why would 2 kids born and raised in the Bronx who played baseball together like the Yankees? The doubleheader’s we used to go to on weekends as kids on the subway up until 2 weeks ago when you brought your beautiful daughters to the game. I am so grateful to have been able to see you one last time at the stadium. You are going to have some of the most incredible stories to tell up there, but save a few for me for when I see you again. Rest In Peace but keep an eye out on your family. Eddie

I met Brendan in the mid 1980’s as we were both part of a Saturday morning basketball group that played from September through April at the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx for almost 20 years. Brendan was a gentleman, a loyal friend and a class act. Most of all, he was a devoted father. How he loved his girls and was proud of them. He will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace, my friend.

It's always the little things that you remember most.  All those years walking back and forth to St Lucy's  grammer school or a good snowball fight when we were kids. 
Or a note of comfort left with condolences when my NYPD brother John lost his life on September 11, 2001.
Iam so sorry for Brendan's family .  Iam devastated for his beloved sister Patricia and older brother Kevin.

I went to St. Lucy’s with Brendan and we didn’t live far from each other.  We actually communicated a few years back when I put together a gathering our St. Lucy’s classmates.  He was a nice boy who grew up to be a better man.  I send my sincere condolences to his family.

I was so heart broken when I learned of Brendan’s passing.  I worked with him in the 48 Pct as a PAA, and later in years spoke to him when he worked on the 112 Pct as an Insp. Brendan was one of the sweetest people you could ever know.  He would do anything for you.  He had a heart of gold.  He will be missed.  Sending condolences and prayers to the family.  R.I.P.
