Warren Behrman Bryant was born August 4, 1914 in San Francisco. He is preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers and his first wife. He and his second wife, Wilma Lou Soehner Bryant has been married 55 years. Following high school, Warren worked extensively with Luri Line and Merchant Marines, visiting ports in Asia, Australia, South America to New York City. He worked with Roebling Co. laying and wrapping the Golden Gate Bridge spans. He followed with 32 years government service working at Hunters Point and on loan as advisor to the Turkish Navy for seven years. He served in the Army during World War II in Europe, so cherished revisiting that area and visiting most of the European countries while serving in Turkey.
Warren has been a resident of Placerville since 1972. He enjoyed presenting slide shows of local color and of Europe. He was active in the Pollock Pines-Camino Church of Christ, the SIRS and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his son, Chad, and his wife Selena and children Nicolas and Tracy all of Colma, CA and Son Stanley and his wife Pam of Grants Pass, OR and their children, Larnie of Seattle, Todd of Colma and David of Burlingame. Also survived by six great grandchildren, Julia, Jessica, Jaden, Logan, Brooklyn and Franklin.
At Warren’s request, there will be no services. Private inurnment has been held. Contributions in Warren’s name may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of El Dorado County Western Slope, PO Box 2535, Placerville, CA 95667.
