Donald Leroy Clark

June 22, 1928 - January 9, 2017

Donald L. Clark passed away in Placerville on January 9, 2017 after a short illness. Donald was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Connie in 2013. Loving father of Kathy (Tim) Breadon, Curt (Peggy) Clark, Judy (Ruben) Grijalva, Jane (Tom) Martino and Larry (Adri) Clark. Beloved grandfather of Justin, Jamie, Don, Ryan, Ruben James, David, Tim, Paul, Jim, Laura, Kelly, Caitlin, Greg and Gabe, great grandfather of nine and great great grandfather of two.

Donald was born in Yankton, South Dakota on June 22, 1928. He and Connie moved to El Dorado County in 1988 and they resided at the Gold Country Retirement Community these last 28 years. Donald was a Civil Engineer with the CA Dept. of Transportation, Division of Highways for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Gold Country Baptist Church in Shingle Springs belonging to the Men’s Bible Study group and helping as an Usher and Greeter. Donald’s loves were woodworking and golfing but above all, his family.

A Celebration of Donald’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12 Noon at the Gold Country Baptist Church, 3800 North Shingle Road in Shingle Springs, CA 95682. Private interment has been held at Westwood Hills Memorial Park in Placerville where Donald was reunited with Connie.
