Virginia "Ginger" Runco

Virginia L. Runco (Ulrich) who loved to be referred to as "Ginger", age, 70, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, August 1st, 2022. Ginger was born August 2, 1951 to the late John “Jack” J. Ulrich and Virginia “Ginny” Ulrich (King).

She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Ginger is survived by her mother Ginny Ulrich, sister Lynn Gendian (Fred), her three sons Frank, John (Colleen), and Michael (Kristyn) Krohe. Ginger’s pride and joy was her four grandchildren, Jessica, Reilly, Brendan, and Reagan Krohe. Ginger was a beloved aunt to Charlie Zubik, and Amy Brooks, and many beloved cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Ulrich, brother Edward Ulrich, granddaughter Brooklyn Krohe, and many other loved family members and special friends.

Ginger attended Mt. Alvernia High School. Following graduation, she spent many years working as an administrative assistant. Ginger was always up for an adventure and spent time living in Delaware, Arizona, and the Pittsburgh area. She was a loving mother who enjoyed coaching youth baseball, spending time with family, singing, having pets, especially her beloved Cisco.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 1:00-3:00 PM at H. P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, followed by a blessing service at 3:00 PM.
