Robert W. Bartram

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert William Bartram on August 18, 2020 of Ross Township in his 80th year of life. Beloved husband of Maggie, and preceded in death by his first wife Jessie, parents Evelyn Young, William Bartram and stepfather George A. Young, Jr. Bob was the devoted father to his children, Donn (Karen) of Jeanette, Gary (Cindy) of West Virginia, Kim (Jon) Watson and Rob (Shanna) of Pittsburgh. Also survived by his step children Bruce and Pam Grigg, and Elizabeth and Kirk MacDonald of Ontario Canada. Bob was Pap Pap to his 16 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, his step sisters Shirley Wolff and Rainey Bittner, brother and sisters-in-law Claude and Susan Swackhammer, and Jane Swackhammer, all of Ontario Canada. Bob was a Navy veteran, member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Northern Allegheny Lions Club, and a former member of the Niagara On The Lake Lions Club. Bob loved to travel with his wife in their fifth wheel and spending many summers camping with their fellow members of the Fun CenterSam Club of Ohio. Bob will be sorely missed by his camping buddies Doug and Laurie Sparr, and all of his camping friends who will miss saying "Bob must have one of those in the basement of his camper."

Friends will be received on Friday from 10am until the time of a funeral service at 1pm with Pastor Kuntz officiating. Interment will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
