Rachel Graham, 86, of West View, passed away on Wednesday November 9, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford. She was born on March 15, 1936. While in the hospital her home was flooded by the, "Great St. Patrick's Day Flood", in Pittsburgh, PA.
She grew up in the Irish area of Manchester, PA. Rachel taught dance lessons at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. During her time there she traveled for work to New York and Chicago. She also worked as a waitress at Stouffer's Restaurant in Market Square downtown Pittsburgh. After marrying the love of her life she became a homemaker to her family and caretaker to her mother. Rachel then went onto babysitting her granddaughters because she was always taking care of someone. She was a little lady with a big heart. Having great faith she was a longtime parishioner at Assumption Church in Bellevue PA.
Rachel will be dearly missed by friends, family and all who knew her. She loved people, dancing and shopping. Rachel made friends wherever she went with her fun personality. Her later years of life included her daily meetings with friends for coffee and conversation they are known as, "The Dunkin Donut Gang".
She precedes her mother Stella Carey, husband and love of her life for 53 years, Frank Graham and best friend of over 40 years, Jo Anne Baker.
Rachel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lorraine and Donald Anderson, granddaughters Brooke, Brittany (Jacob) Tiffany and great grandson Connor.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2022 at 10 am at Assumption Church 45 N Sprague Ave Pittsburgh PA 15202.
