Paul W. Walch

Paul W. Walch, 89, passed away on December 9, 2022 in Pittsburgh, PA just 15 days short of his 90th birthday. Paul was born on December 24, 1932 in Pittsburgh to the late Robert and Mildred Walch. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Walch and Margaret Dombrowski.

At just 19 years old, Paul enlisted in the United States Army in 1952 and served until his honorable discharge in 1955. Paul will be remembered for his incredible work ethic, establishing a 40-year career with Duquesne Light as a Meter Technician. His family would say that he often worked too hard. Paul married the love of his life, Sandra, in 1985 after meeting her through mutual friends. They spent 37 wonderful years together.

Paul is survived by his wife, Sandra Walch; stepchildren, Robert Geeting and Kevin (Carol) Geeting; grandchildren, Julia, Andrew, Ryan, and Madisyn; and sister, Rosemary Casey.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10am at the funeral home.
