Mark E. Neel, Sr.

Mark E. Neel, Sr., age 65, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023 after a brave battle with leukemia. He was born to the late Arthur G. Neel, Sr. and Leona (Dudzik) Neel in Pittsburgh on July 12, 1957. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur G. Neel, Jr.

Mark will be remembered for his tireless work ethic and the great pride he took in providing for his family. The ultimate “working man,” Mark held many jobs throughout his life and was never afraid to put in the extra effort to get the job done right. Up until his diagnosis, Mark worked diligently as a Warehouse Supervisor for AUMA Actuators, Inc. In his spare time, Mark loved cooking big meals, fishing with his daughter and watching a good football game, especially when his son was playing ball. Most importantly, he loved to spend time all together with his family and was an adoring Pap Pap to his grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lorraine Neel; his children, Mark (Casey) Neel, Jr. and Amy (Eric) Trout; grandchildren, Max Neel, Lilah Trout, and Dominic Trout; and sister, Joyce Jones of Alabama.

A memorial service for Mark will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11am at H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Hillman Cancer Center for their excellent care and support throughout Mark’s cancer battle.
