Helen and Chris, what can I say.  You had the most amazing and dearest husband and father.  Sam and Frank were pals for a long time and are probably bowling in Heaven.  He always made me laugh when a pin would be left standing,he would yell 'What holds 'em up?'  The most loving and generous guy.  He will be so missed by all.  I will pray for peace in your hearts and be comforted knowing 'Big Sam' is in Heaven with Randy and we will all be seeing each other there someday. God Bless you all.

Uncle Sam holds a place in my heart because he reminded me of my dad, Chester. I recall the many stories he would tell me about the two of them growing up and the trouble they got into! I can still see him dancing and singing at the family weddings! A generous soul- I recall a couple of hand shakes that resulted in a crisp hundred dollar bill. I'm sure that you will miss him. Sad that we lost touch.

Pat and I were deeply saddened by Sam's passing!  Our special prayers  go out to him and all of you. I remember you and him as I was growing up and in later years as  great neighbors. What a blessing --- 97 years !

No one else called me "Brub" except you and Sam.

I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for all of you as you grieve and celebrate a long and amazing life. I only knew him in his last decade or so and he was a generous and funny character that I won't soon forget. It was an honor to be able to serve them in their last years here and I know it took a lot of humility and courage for him to even ask - which meant the most. I have missed them since they moved back to be with you but they live on in my memories and in so much about the house next door. It is now filled with new love and laughter.

Sad to miss the service tomorrow but will be praying.

I don't really want to write anything because part of me still doesn't believe you're gone. You were always there for me when I was younger and still managed to be there for me until last Wednesday. You influenced my life in so many ways and I have countless amazing memories from our time together. You never failed to put a smile on my face even when the tears were streaming down. I wish you were here to give me five and make me smile right now. 

97 years is a long, incredible life, but I was sure you'd make it to 100. I was and still am the luckiest granddaughter in the world and I'm certain you're up there watching out for me. You made one last trip to Pittsburgh; I just wish I could've been on the ride with you. I love you and miss you. Tuesday is going to be a hard day, so you better be there to help me through it...

Sam Laskowski or Grandpap, as I always called him, was the best father in law you could ever imagine. I can't thank you enough for all the help with the kids throughout the years and all those trips to Walmart. I'll think off you every time I go there. May you rest in peace.

Uncle Sam was a great uncle.  He taught me how to swim at Mineral Beach and took us to jump on the trampolines at North Park when we were kids.  He always helped our family when in need and always checked on my dad, his brother Stephen (Whoopie).
I kept in touch throughout the years until the last few. He was always someone I could count on.  We certainly will miss him just showing up for a visit. I loved you, Uncle Sam.

Words cannot describe how special this man was. He will be incredibly missed. Rest in peace, Grandpap.
