Kathryn Mae Lipchak

Kathryn Mae Lipchak, age 88, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Kathryn was born March 10, 1934 in Pittsburgh PA to the late Benedict and Isla (Niggel) Velon.

Kathryn was the loving wife of the late William Edward Lipchak for 53 years. Together they raised their children; William (Cathy) Lipchak, Debi (John) Kubicky, Ricky Lipchak and the late Sandy McCarthy.

She was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother to; Jonathan Lipchak, Sean (Mia) McCarthy, Ben (Jenia) Lipchak, Olivia Poore, Laura Nestor, Logan Lipchak, Kai Lipchak, Rhett Poore and Luke Poore. Loving sister to Phoebe (late Dom) Ianelli and a bonus grandma to the neighborhood kids.

Kathryn was an inspiration to all who knew her and committed her life to helping others. She retired as a registered nurse from Suburban General Hospital. She enjoyed family, friends and gardening.

Our Mom remained the same caring, kind, sassy, wise cracking, funny appreciative person we had always known, she celebrated life daily and found joy in every single moment.

She is preceded in death by her twin sisters Annette and Bea

Friends and family are invited to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237 on Wednesday August 31, 2022 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Teresa Avila Church (Mount Carmel Parish) on Thursday September 1, 2022 at 10AM. Burial to follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
