Daniel C. Kroll

DANIEL C. KROLL Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully at home, on November 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary (Rogus) Kroll; parents, Dan J. and Cecilia Kroll; siblings, Harry, LaVerne, and John. He was the beloved father of Patricia, LaVerne Kroll Dober, Daniel C., Jr. (Cathy), and Diane; dear grandfather of John Dober (Taylor), Danny, Jennie, Suzanne, and Carolyn Kroll; also survived by a sister, Lucille Kroll Nolan; and canine companion, Bella. Dan was a Drill Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a partner in Kroll Brothers Tire Company for over 50 years, having retired in 1992. Dan missed the customer contact and friends of being in business. He enjoyed his second Goodyear Blimp ride in September 2012. Crossword puzzles, woodworking, lighthouses, cards, trains, and his family meant so much to him. Family requests no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at Noon in St. Nicholas Church, 24 Maryland Ave., Pgh., PA 15209.
