Bill Henschel

William R. Henschel, age 65, of the North Side, passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2023 at his home. He was the son of the late Richard and Mary Henschel. He is survived by siblings Diane( John) Lipchik, David (Marge) Henschel, Kathleen (Mark) Zemaitis, Daniel (Alisa) Henschel and Robert (Karen) Henschel. Proud father of Bill (Jenn) Henschel, Dan (Jenna) Henschel and Chad (Erin) Henschel. Grandfather to Halle, Averie, Ella, Eli, Max, Ashley and Carly. Cherished and fun loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Best known as Bill, he was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, through the good times and the bad. He also loved muscle cars, Christmas, and spending time with his family and friends. Working in construction, mainly roofing, for the majority of his life he enjoyed working with his hands and passing along what knowledge he had accumulated to anyone who wanted to learn. To those who knew him best, he was known as a quiet and calm man.

Friends and family will be received at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Receiving hours are Thursday, October 12th, 2023 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 13th, 2023 at 11am. Burial will follow at St Mary's Cemetery, Ross Township.
