Mr. James Robert Salome Sr.

James Robert Salome, Sr., 81, of Beaver, formerly of Pineville, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Raleigh General Hospital. Born October 12, 1934 at Keyrock, he was the son of the late Reverend Casey James Salome and Louise Roberts Salome. Bob loved his Lord and was always willing to serve his Savior. He spent every morning in devotions and prayer to his Heavenly Father. His children were raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and carry that heritage to this day. We want to honor his love for his Lord as we come into His presence this day. Bob served his country proudly in the Navy. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, photography, cooking, listening to music, and serving others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Coral Sue Mattics Salome and a sister, Betty Lou Ogle. Survivors include: Three daughters; Deborah Ann Ciervo and her husband, Patrick of Cape May Courthouse, NJ Ellen Salome Draper and her husband, Donald of Preston, Conn. Jennifer Sue Cooper and her husband, Robert of Absecon, NJ A son, Col. James Robert Salome, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Fort Campbell, KY 8 Grandchildren; Crystal, Heather, Meghan, Josh, Rachel, Sofia, Marcella and Marianna 4 Great-grandchildren; Alyssia, Avry, Haley and Dylen
