Dennis Eugene Webb

Dennis E. Webb, 81, of Rhodell, WV went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Born March 26, 1935 at Meade, WV, he was the son of the late Elmer McKinnis Webb and Mattie Lee Adkins Webb. He enjoyed spending time with his family; playing music, and going to flea markets. He never knew a stranger; to him, everyone was a friend. He served 6 years in the Army reserves then served in the Army from 1953-1956 and served in the Korean War. He worked in the coal mines then as a steel welder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ethel Heath (Tootsie), arbutus Hall, Billie Maggard and a brother Robert Webb. Survivors include a daughter, Denise (Aaron) Slone of Ohio; a son, Gregory (Karen) Webb of Florida; brothers, Forest Dean (JoAnn) Webb, Elmer Webb Jr. and Richard (Pat) Webb, all of WV; and a sister Janelle and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 in the Evans-Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, 614 Appalachian Hwy Pineville, with Rev. Gary Eskins officiating. Entombment will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
