Roland Joseph Theriot

Roland Joseph Theriot, 69, died on Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was a 1965 graduate of Assumption High School. Roland served in the National Guard 20th Special Forces Group, Medic and Paratrooper, and Green Beret. He worked for Dow Chemical as an Instrument Tech. He enjoyed woodworking and carving in his spare time. Roland is survived by five sisters, Dorothy Templet, Lorraine Poirrier (Lester), Shirley Woodruff, Georgana “Jeanie” Templet (Kenneth), and Beverly Landry (Daril); one brother, Burton Theriot (Deanie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Victoria “Vicky” Dugas Theriot; mother and father, Elise Breaux and Leonie Theriot, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Oleus Templet, Jr. and Roland Woodruff; and two nephews, Chris and Neil Templet.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim Poirrier, Eric Theriot, Kevin Templet, Robert Templet, Danny Landry, and Clint Landry.
