Some of his favorite things to do was hunting, fishing and camping in the marsh.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Mae Leonard Gaudet; daughter Joann Gaudet Leal (Jose); son, Sullivan Gaudet; brother, Shelby Gaudet (Deanna); grandchildren, Brandi Gaudet Bergeron (Joshua); step grandchildren, Tabitha Leal (Edles Sr.), Jose Leal III (Brittney), Jeremy Leal (Megan), Kimberly Leal and Regan Leal Caldwell (Shane); great-grandchildren, Tyler, Gracie, Ezra, and Liam Bergeron; step great grandchildren, Edles Jr., Emelyn, and Glenna Guillory, Carleigh Sampa, Everly Leal, Miya, Mason, and Adan Leal, Ashlyn Duck, and Dillion Caldwell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Henry Joseph Gaudet; in-laws, Rene and Grace Gauthreaux Leonard; sister, Marion Daigle and Geneva Gaudet; and grandson, Chase Gaudet.
The pallbearers will be Sullivan Gaudet, Mike Leonard, Ricky Domingue, Scott Settoon, Bernard Richard, Joshua Bergeron, Dean Gaudet, Randy Leonard, along with honorary pallbearers, Orin Breaux, Anthony Falterman, Ernie Gaudet, Mike Perera and Ricky Berthelot.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Then to continue on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 8:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Al Davidson will be officiating.
